This data set describes a conventional surface mining process used for the extraction of rare earth elements (REEs) from an open pit mine. The ore recovered is characterized by a rare earth oxide (REO) grade of 4.1%. The primary application of this process is to supply raw materials for the production of various REE-related products such as neodymium oxide, which is subsequently transformed into NdFeB magnets used in a wide range of technological applications including electric motors, wind turbines, and electronic devices.
